The Objective at RagingDebate.com

• To provide a place to speak the truth about critical issues currently affecting our American lives.

• To hold the officials We the People have elected accountable, seeing to it that they honor their title as 'Public Servant.'
• To bring transparency back to the processes of government in the United States of America.

1. Phase 1:
   Discuss and debate the root causes of the top issues.
   The first purpose of RagingDebate.com is to get Americans thinking and communicating. Costs of living are sharply increasing and America feels the growing gap between the working class and the elites running Washington. We ask all of American society, from the concerned Citizens to Investors, Scientists, Educators, Politicians and Entrepreneurs to weigh in. Phase 1 is complete. Welcome aboard, the journey back to sanity has finally begun!

2. Phase 2:
   Create meaningful, viable plans of action, deliver these plans to Washington, and evaluate the progress of our current elected officials in executing these plans.
   What is lacking in social networks and blogs: A definitive call to action. Many sites exist that provide ways to email or write members of Congress and the Senate. While it is always important to take this form of action, we have something better in mind: We the People create actionable plans for submission to the House and Senate. We will debate the facts and the viability of each plan here on RagingDebate.com . These courses of action will be voted on by the members of RagingDebate.com and then submitted to Washington. Washington will hear our voice on the direct courses of action that We the People have voted on at RagingDebate.com. During Phase 2, RagingDebate.com shall provide direct links to Congressional House Representatives and Senators at the state and federal levels. Once each plan has been submitted, we shall further vote on the progress of our leadership in Washington following the plans and to what degree. RagingDebate.com shall invite guest speakers from Washington and beyond: From the environmentalist of the Sierra Club to the Exxon Mobile executive; Governors for coal power vs. Governors against. You get the picture; We the People shall decide who is telling the truth and who is not. Those politicians too afraid to appear in front of We the People in an open debate, can be de facto considered dishonest, timid or too useless to govern.

3. Phase 3:
   Build a non-biased fund to assist Americans wishing to serve as elected officials
   What are the current problems with Washington? Many lawmakers legislate directly into their own pocketbook. The average citizen cannot afford to take a year off to serve or afford to run for election without sponsorship from the Republican or Democratic National Committees, creating favors owed to either committee. Most people running for office today are already rich and once in office, either they vote to further their financial benefit or they vote because PAC and/or lobbyists have donated thousands of dollars to their campaign funds. We must get Washington off the dime! To do that, We the People must fund the individuals who will vote what We the People want. Why would someone with tens of millions of dollars run for office unless there was an ulterior motive to legislate directly into their own pocketbook? We cannot correct our nation back to sanity and wisdom without taking action. You fight money with money. RagingDebate.com will demonstrate the corruption in our nation's capitol and uphold transparency in America's government. As stated by Abraham Lincoln "...that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
