We take our members right to privacy seriously. We find it important to disclose the data collection and usage practices of Raging Debate in conjunction with the Raging Debate site and services.

Membership

If you do not accept the terms of this Policy, we ask that you do not register with Raging Debate.com.

What Information We Collect/How We Use It

Raging Debate utilizes the information provided to us in accordance with the terms of this Policy and governed under State and Federal Law. The Raging Debate contact request form requires that you provide certain information for full membership status. That information includes name, address, email address, gender, age political affiliation and general audience segment such as 'Concerned American, Scientist, Educator, Entrepenuar, Investor'. Additional information may be appended to your member record from trusted 3rd parties such as marital status, household information including level of education, personal or household income, occupation, children in the household & online purchasing/web-surfing habits. To maximize the usefulness of our service, we infrequently request additional voluntary information and either Raging Debate or affiliated trusted 3rd parties may contact you via email, postal mail and on rare occasion, by telephone.

At any time, you may cancel our right to contact you for any reason by contacting us online, via telephone, fax or email. Cancellation of services will be honored within 72 hours.

Raging Debate may also collect information your computer is logged onto and what pages you visit while on the Raging Debate website or viewing Raging Debate applications abroad on the Internet. We may compare our member list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending identical messages to our members.

We use all information mentioned hereto as follows:

  • To provide you with personalized information such as political newsletters, current events or sponsored advertisements delivered via direct mail or email or telephone.
  • To contact you for feedback to improve our website, request political or current events feedback on any topic other using surveys or polls, delivered via email, postal mail or at times, telephone.
  • To update you on general and administrative information about your Raging Debate membership.
  • To provide your contact and full membership or newsletter subscription information to Raging Debate 3rd party marketing partners. Raging Debate supports itself with a Direct Marketing revenue model and members can expect to receive branded or non-branded promotions delivered via direct mail, email or on rare occasions by telephone. Raging Debate conforms to all Federal laws under the "Can-Spam & Anti-Pornography Act of 2004, Bill S. 877".

Raging Debate Vendors

Raging Debate employs other 3rd party companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. These companies and individuals may include but are not limited to Marketing List Management companies and their subsidiaries and affiliates of data hygiene service bureaus. Vendors' primary functions are removing duplicate information from Raging Debate member lists to prepare them for marketing purposes, analyzing Raging Debate member and newsletter data, and providing analysis on a group or groups of members. These vendors have access to Raging Debate member information on a 'need to know basis' to perform there functions as outlined above.

Disclosures To Government or Regulatory Agencies

Raging Debate may disclose member or newsletter member information about you and your use of the Raging Debate Web Site and the Raging Debate Services if:

Raging Debate believes such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with State or Federal law; to protect or defend the rights or property of Raging Debate members or; if Raging Debate management feels there is an immediate specific or non-specific threat to a member or group of members. Raging Debate reserves the right to notify the authorities of death threats and other violent or criminal actions against other members. In addition Raging Debate may share or transfer member information about you, to one or more 3rd party entities pursuant to corporate merger and acquisition activities in transferring all or partial, member information, assets or stock of Raging Debate or its affiliated entities, or as otherwise provided herein.

Security

The Raging Debate.com site has secured your information using password, encryption, firewalls and other measures to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your membership information. Our hardware infrastructure is housed in a controlled access facility that restricts unauthorized individual access outside of Raging Debate's assigned technology officers. Member information is backed up on a regular basis to protect against loss or incidental destruction. However, we can not guarantee that communications between you and Raging Debate will not be intercepted by others and that information stored on our servers will be free from unauthorized access. While we have taken reasonable precautions to protect and secure your information, you should always use discretion in what information you send to other members that could disclose your true identity on the Internet.

Children

Raging Debate is committed to the safety of children. Children under the age of 18 may not register or participate in any of our services. Raging Debate.com site is considered an adult website that may contain profanity and graphic depictions of warfare, comedy or provocative illustrations, direct nudity is forbidden. Children under 18 that attempt to use the Raging Debate service will be terminated immediately after discovery by Raging Debate management team.

Privacy Policy Updates

Raging Debate may revise or amend this Policy at will in the future to improve Raging Debate service, develop future services, comply with applicable laws or reflect changes in Raging Debate business environment. We will notify users if we change this Policy and alert you via direct mail or email. It is our members' responsibility to review the listed Raging Debate Privacy Policy located as link on every Raging Debate.com site pages. If you disagree at any time with the stated policy, please email us at privacy@ragingdebate.com or request to discontinue your membership at remove@ragingdebate.com. Your request will be honored within 72 hours.
