Deploy these devices to all ships for protection and make pirates deaf, it really is that simple. OK maybe it's not humane to deafen attackers although it's their choice if they want to hang out once the deterrent is turned on. Like an electric fence or taser, both of which can kill a disgruntle person, this will make a person deaf if they do not stop their action and comply.
The Navy already ordered many units and you think that other boat owners would also use the same technology to protect themselves. I feel like this is a `no brainer` and the technology is used in Iraq today.
I'm glad Japan also has an interest int this technology for they have a very large population to control.
